Travelling to ETH Hönggerberg |
The
suggestions of the NOC for travelling in the city of Zürich is to
use the public transportation systems: trains, trams (street cars) and
buses. The public transportation system is very safe and fast.
Tickets are available at a every station. You must buy a ticket before
entering any tram, bus or train. A special ticket, the ZürichCARD
includes most public transportation systems as well as many attractions
is avaiable at the information desk.
Please note that car parking facilities are sparse throughout the whole
city.

Take any train to the main station of
Zürich (Hauptbahnhof Zürich). Take tram 11 to Bucheggplatz
and Oerlikon. Exit at Bucheggplatz and find next to the tram station
the bus 69 to ETH Hönggerberg.
From Zürich main station, you can also take tram 14 to Milchbuck
and Oerlikon. Exit at Milchbuck and find bus 69 to Bucheggplatz and ETH
Hönggerberg.
Exit at the terminal stop and you will find yourself on the campus
where the conference is held.
Travelling time is approximately 30 to 40 minutes.

The fastest
way to get to the ETH Hönggerberg is to take tram 11 or tram 15 to
Bucheggplatz. Change there to the bus 69 to ETH Hönggerberg and
exit at the terminal stop.

Travelling to ETH center
|
For the Welcome Reception, take bus
69 at the ETH Hönggerberg to Bucheggplatz and Milchbuck. Exit at
the terminal stop Milchbuck and take there tram 9 or 10 to Seilbahn
Rigiblick and ETH/Universitätsspital. Exit at
ETH/Universitätsspital. The building with the brown dome is the
main building of ETH Zürich.
Travelling time is about 25 minutes. |

main station, walk over the limmat to the central square (Central). Take
the Polybahn up to the ETH center building. Travelling time is about 10
minutes.
